THE BOY WHO LOVED MAGNIFICENT WOMAN IS A STORY VERY DEAR TO MY HEART. IT IS A STORY ABOUT BEING DIFFERENT FROM WHAT SOCIETY EXPECTS YOU TO BE AND THE EXTREMES THOSE EXPECTATIONS SOMETIMES LEAD TO. This story has been with me in various forms over the past few years. This is my favorite incarnation and seemed an appropriate time to share given the attention bullying has been given by the media recently.

The buzz around H-wood is that Tyler perry is chomping at the bit to play the TITULAR role in The Kitty Kelly penned biopic about the big O. He was overheard saying "I love's Oprah-- god know I do but I kill her dead before she cock blocks my chance at an Oscar nomination! When I was little I used to put my hair in loop braids and pretend I was the little girl on the package of Charmin Toilet paper. And I read some where Oprah did the same thing when she was a little girl! I was born to play this part!" Not wanting to be too obvious with the title Perry is toying with "Precious 2" and "O-La-la".

No stranger to transexualism Eddie Murphy is in talks to play longtime Winfrey companion Gayle King. "I'll get my Oscar or I will double-dong myself with Mel Gibson's Golden Globes.", Murphy probably didn't say behind closed doors. I resisted the TWILIGHT Saga as I imagined it would be rife with teen angst and much eye-rolling on my part. Thanks to gentle nudging from my sister and my good friend Anne, I saw Eclipse out of curiosity--not to mention wanting to see what all of the fuss was about. It was dripping with teen angst (as it should be) And there were some parts that gave me pause. But the more it sinks in the more I like it. Robert Pattinson makes one steamy vampire. And poor Taylor-- if he thinks he can have a career with his shirt on he is mistaken. (Not that I'm complaining mind you!) At least it prompted me to make this silly cartoon.

Sex and The Super hero is the latest offering from Brian Andersen (So Super Duper, Reignbow and Deeva) It revolves around a group of 5 sexed up super heros. The dialogue is witty as Brian brings his usual flair to a very entertaining story. Let's face it if I had a body like a super hero I'd be screwing all the time! This first installment shows a lot of potential for a fun, fresh story that if we have seen anything like it before, it has not been this entertaining! The art by Neftali Centeno is fresh and fun with a lot of energy that shows a lot of promise. (I hope he's gay as the men drawn in the story are HOT!!!) Okay-I'll be the first to admit, I haven't loved anything Chris Claremont has written since his departure from the X-Men in the early 90's- but I still get excited every time they announce he is on a new x-project even though it usually disappoints. This time it was a little different- he was going to "pick up where he left off" on his run on the X-men back in the day. I got it mostly out of obligation but was excited nonetheless. I have to admit it was pretty darn good! There is something to be said about way too many character with way to many problems-not to mention thought balloons and hilarious subplots that we're never likely to see play out! Ahhh- it's nice to get your moneys worth and read a comic book that takes an hour and a half to read! Highly recommended! Fo' Sho'!
